Morning Canvas Poem by Doug Blair

Morning Canvas

I have made this morning
Beautiful for you
I have prompted song
The robin shouting spring
As best his red breast allows.
The little child
Talking to mother
Peeking out the screen
To assess best dress
For today's weather.
Dead-fall whisking down the street
As if the wind's fast feet
My cleanup took rains
And gurgling drains
But clean it did.
And I forbade clouds
To hide the fast warming sun
My precious One.
This a day for treasure
Showing love in measure.
As if my brush
Could fashion Master's touch
And you the only viewer.
