Mom You Make The Difference Poem by Walterrean Salley

Mom You Make The Difference

What’s in a title? A lot.
“Mother” speaks of many things,
Among which are
Life, love, sacrifice.
Patience and forgiveness.

But also there is nurture,
Understanding, discipline
And hope.

And then, there’s the feeling of
Stability and security.
Should I go on?

You have planted
And cultivated this rosebush,
Causing it to bloom.

These are the things, Mom,
That you have given me over the years.
And they’ve made such a difference in my life.
Thanks a million Mom.
You make the difference,
And I am forever grateful.
All these roses are for you.
