Modern Morality Poem by Nick Jordan.

Modern Morality

Rating: 5.0

No finer worthy sentiment
Bestowed upon itself
Far more important than any amount of self inherent wealth
The gift of love, the dream of hope and a clean bill of health
Are almost as important as life within itself
Preachers preach, Teacher's teach. But speak only of what they know,
They pass on recycled knowledge
With which we seek to grow
If only each generation
Could learn from their mistakes
Instead history repeats itself
With the errors that it makes
Mankind must find an answer to it's self destructive woes
Before the world destroys itself
And civilisation goes
It's down to us to live and learn
And offer education
It's every human beings right
In every generation
It's just a shame we're all in doubt in this stoic, disloyal nation
All it would take is a little love and some bold imagination
