Valentine Poem by Nick Jordan.

Valentine

Love for a valentine
Is both sweet and Devine
The love for ones smile
And the way their eyes shine
A kiss on the lips
And a cuddle so tender
A card in the post from a mystery sender
If only the above were so easy and true
If being in love was even possible with you
If only I knew how to grab your attention
A card or some flowers or a radio mention
For now though I'll just sit here and pensively dream
I'll send you a card with a jovial theme
I'll sign it with kisses, shrouded in mystery
if you knew it was me, I fear I'd be history
I haven't the courage
To ask you on a date
Through fear that you'd snub me or turn up too late.
I've been stood up before
On A couple of Occasions
I felt I'd been beaten
By better persuasions
So now I'll just wait
Remain solemn and lonely
With one humble wish
Which is you.....

Oh if only! ! !
