Modern Hunting Poem by Randy McClave

Modern Hunting

If you need an AR-15 to hunt
When a deer or a rabbit you confront,
Because, on that hunting day
You don't want your prey to get away.
If you need a high powered weapon to kill
To show the dominance of your very will,
A weapon that tears a body to shreds
Ripping apart torso's, legs and heads.
Then I think this thought of you my friend
This belief and thought to you I do send,
Another weapon you might need
When you're looking for food to feed.
If you want to add to your hunting chances
But, of course it will add to your finances,
So, if you go fishing either day or night
You might probably need to fish with dynamite.
So, before you go out hunting for food to eat
Before you bring your weapons so, there's no retreat,
What other weapons will you need to go hunting
When ferocious birds and elk you are confronting.
Before, you go to your area dealers for firearms
And before you go to the NRA for charms,
And before against nature you call an all out war
Why, not instead get your food at a local grocery store.
