Mending Poem by Tessa Monaghan

Mending

He broke my heart
He tore it in half
He stabbed it again and again
But then he saw
The wrong he made
And decided to obey the law
He asked me to take him back
And as much as I love him
And as much as he loves me
All I had to say
Was those three powerful words
There was no room
For a yes or no
But only room for
I love you

He tore my heart
Then he mended it again
I was in the dark
Now I can see the light
It is back in my life
I can see that light again
Again
Again

My heart
Is covered
In dry blood
from my suffer
Then he came back
and cleaned it up
then patched it up
again
my heart
has been longing you
my heart
has been wanting you
its my heart
that chose you

he stabbed my heart
then he mended it again
I was in the dark
Now I can see the light
It is back in my life
His light over came
The darkness in me
His light came over
His light came over
His light came over me….
I gave him my heart
Once again I say
I give him my love
And then we say
I love you baby
More then anything
You’re the only one
The only thing
That I can eva think of
Baby.

He healed my heart
After shredding it
He patched up the holes
One by one
One by one
But then he saw
The wrong he done
He was
Missing me
He was
Missing me
The only one

I took him back
For as much
As I
Love him
For as much
As he
Loves me
I could only think of
Three powerful words
All I had to say was
I love you
I love you
I love you
