Luck Of The Irish Poem by Tessa Monaghan

Luck Of The Irish

Luck of the Irish,
There is that one day
all your luck comes into play
my leprechaun friends
why don't you
send me the luck i deserve?
where,
is my 'luck of the Irish'?

'Kiss me, I'm Irish'
Mi amor.
Give me back my luck
my amor
and my little friends
spiritually,
Give me back
my luck
as part of my nationality
Part of me.

That luck,
shall be
in my blood.
In my family.
Where is my luck?
if i speak of this
before hand,
maybe,
my leprechauns,
give me the luck
of the Irish.
Is bad luck
normal in Irish believers?
Before good luck?

Luck of the Irish,
my blood
my mind,
my family.
Where
is my luck?

The day
for my 'luck'
is coming again.
will you give it to me?
Give me
what i deserve?
if more pain
is what i deserve,
of the 'lucky' day
of my nationality,
tell me why,
why i got
more pain
more bad luck,
and nothing
for my Irish love.
Red, for kiss
Green
for my nation,
and hope
for not getting pinched.
The luck
of the Irish,
Give me my truth.
