Mend Thy Hearts (Sonnet 3) Poem by Ellen Rose Guilaran

Mend Thy Hearts (Sonnet 3)

Rating: 5.0

Even now and then, Love is Beautiful
From meaningful to at any cost
It can make you or break you; a good tool
For foolish as I was, regards no loss

Do you want me to kneel and say 'Sorry'?
Oh! What a sadist you--Please to such view
Will you swallow your pride and show Mercy?
Am I blind to such lies? I'll never knew.

Bring forth Pure and Harmony like a dove
Would Eros give me justice and won't miss?
You're no blessing from the heavens above
Forlorn as I was, as we shared that kiss
Is getting my heart broken what I get?
I won't ever forget the day we met.
