Mend It Poem by Sharath Sherry

Mend It

Poignant devastation it is
When I know that you are gone
Trying to mend what I can not
So beloved you were to my soul

The day I found you is the day
I found someone who could talk to my soul
Was it a mere accident?
Was it destiny?
Which happens to be the plan of this universe,
Since then it is just you and me
Day and night

It was you who
Shared my joy when I was happy
Shared my grief when I was sad,
Became a part of my emptiness
When I was bored

Trying to mend which is broken
Failed attempt is all it is
You are gone
Gone forever
All which is left is
The songs you sang

Created waves when you hummed
Creating waves upon your departure
Who will sing to me?
Now that you are gone
And who will lend a shoulder in this commotion

I miss you
That I lost you
Now you are gone forever
Trying to mend something
That cannot be mended.
