Departure Of Honeybees Poem by Sharath Sherry

Departure Of Honeybees

Darkness awaits
After this bright sunny day
All this will be over
In the blink of an eye
So beautiful and soothing
The present, nobody sees the future
Where are these honeybees headed?
Leaving this honeycomb
Everybody's part is done
In this short span of time
In no time
Smiles will turn into silence
All that will be left is memories
Either happy or sad
Some are happy
Some are sad
Eventually it's just the journey
That they took together.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is written a few days before a bunch of people leave the company of each other forever, after staying or spending time together from a long time. Like the last few days of school, college, work, a band, and so on...
