Meaningful Treasures Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Meaningful Treasures

Meaningful treasures...
Are meant to be kept,
Expressed and there to witness...
As if specially selected,
By someone to collect.

Through their lives many often roam,
To mimic what others have...
With a getting what another owns.
Then to feel a vacancy and a disconnect,
To leave a severed expectation and no happiness.

Those meaningful treasures...
Collected by another,
May not be 'yours' to get.
Remember...
Those meaningful treasures,
May be priceless for some...
But to others worthless.
