Mcclave's Meal Prayer Poem by Randy McClave

Mcclave's Meal Prayer

Rating: 5.0

I thank you Lord for the food we're about to eat
I thank you Lord for the drinks and the bread and the meat,
Thank you Lord for all that you have given me
I especially thank you Lord for my friends and family.
With our head bowed for you Lord we prepare to dine
I remember how you once turned water into wine,
Once again I give you thanks Lord before the soup we slurp
And later we will turn man's meal, into a blessing burp.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Usually at church or at home before we give thanks for our food, we give the same prayer, and sometimes some of the meal prayers last so long, the food gets cold. So, I wrote my own.
