May We Improvisation 10 22 09

May we? May we The Lord said and his mouth
Ever opened as her tongue kept the fire -Joy?
As heartfelt as ancient jubilee boats set sail on the
Nile made into a material thing that she embraces
To work her blood as hot and thin as helium risen
Highest –and in vain -to cold thick soups of
Inundation –the same -as lava sunk to the bottom
At the refundable pits of the sea -Joy? Our
Conscious substance few in life ever knew –the
Truth as in its name and words poems would
Never explain -Joy? The punctuate in the
Forgetfulness in who he is and who we are –The
Lord and we -the same -May we? Accept
Devotion may we forget the longer day in answer
To and In any other language set about to call in
The noise of voices heard -and by another name
Another boat set sail unperturbed as it leaves its
Wake of calm and beauty –But joy? No there is
Another thing of beauty the sediment home
Of another root preparing unforgettable local
Memories and deeds -local moral truths that stem
To flower like the lilies from stouter shoots filled
With saps of consciousness and the conscience
Perfection in local memory part picture part realm
Part venture as joy divines forgiveness that keeps
Giving of the truth —May we give as fruition of
heart in the poem of the will absolute –My we?
