Masks And Covid 19

Rating: 5.0

Florida,
Twenty nine thousand new case's
In the last seventy hour's.

State representatives all Republican
Ignoring our plight, wanting to open the
State to early.

Forcing those to choose whom make
Minimum wage to expose themselves to this
Deadly virus to feed and clothe their children.

The pandemic and the murder of Mr.Floyd has
Unleashed in our country a perfect storm.
Police brutality and the rasism that has consumed
This country now.

While trying to in the end to force our
Children to go back into the
The public schools to catch the virus and
Bring it home to their families.

How much lead in their water is acceptable,
So as it is with this deadly virus.

A profound write, James. Here in Canada, we have the same problem with the migrant workers on farms and in meat factories. You might be interested in my poem Of Such Life - For Black Lives Matter. Thank you, James. Take care.
