Marionette Poem by Alsa Haslinda bt Alias

Marionette

Let me out of my misery
And release me
Let me out of my darkest self
While you hunt me
As I fall with bended knees

Unattach these strings from me
Because I do not need
To be in a life full of threat
To be living all my life
Like a soulless fish in a net

I’ve tried smiling
But all I can do is scream
I’ve tried singing
While I was left alone crying
I’ve tried to be happy
But all I could ever had
Was the very same me
