Marigold (Haiku Series) Poem by Savita Tyagi

Marigold (Haiku Series)

Rating: 5.0

Blooms of Marigold
Nostalgic to my homeland
Still scent the garden.

A nest of green leaves
Above the soft grey carpet
Of dry fallen leaves.

The orange petals
Home of tiny ladybug
Basking in sunshine.

A soft burning glaze
Upon golden Marigolds
Of diamond sun

Splendid creation
Of soft and tender beauty
From Mother Nature.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Poet Is it poetry's comment gave me the chance to recount my memory so I have added it here as a note.
This may be just a nice coincidence but after writing and posting my poem next day as I opened the kitchen door there was a little ladybug sitting on the floor. My Marigold plant is just by kitchen door. So that it won't get crushed I lifted it up gently and placed it on the grass. Out of no where her appearance filled my heart with joy. As if she came out of my thoughts. Such is this world filled with little wonders.

Thanks. i believe you are referring to ladybug. This may be just a nice coincidence but after writing and posting my poem next day as I opened the kitchen door there was a little ladybug sitting on the floor. So that it won't get crushed I lifted it up gently and placed it on the grass. Out of no where her appearance filled my heart with wonder. As if she came out of my thoughts. Such is this world filled with little magics.

This is really beautiful.....! I don't know why those flowers are not celebrated much! They are so lovely to look at! Yes, tiny lady bugs are seen basking amid their petals! So cute. (10)
