Maha Thingyan Poem by John Florio

Maha Thingyan

Rating: 5.0

I wish you all success and happiness,
in this Thingyan and new year;
Leave behind the past strife and stress,
move on forwards without fear.

May all you find permanent pleasure,
no sorrows shall ever touch you;
Take advantage of this short leisure,
and do some good deeds too.

No sin is remained after this festival,
as water can't stay on water-lilies;
Thingyan is the happiest time for all,
that we may meet our families.
