Magic Wand Poem by Soumita Sarkar

Magic Wand

Rating: 5.0

Grant me Oh! God
A wand-
a magical wand
To spell wonder in this
Waste land called world
YOU made man
After creating all matter
Man with a mind to have
Reason as a sign
Discretion as a choice
Faith as passion
Service as an action
This NOW breeds in fraction
All seven sins known
In innumerable measure
Without an end or seizure
This wonderful wand
Shall turn things around
Like it was before history
We shall breed love in no penury
We shall become blind to
Colours of skin
Forget mistakes
And practice forgiveness
We shall share more often
Shall let language of happiness
Speak of only peace
To spread across boundaries
Help each other in need
To become one earth-one world
One family in this universe
