Madame X Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Madame X

Madame X

Mum and Dad, I'm sorry
Boom-babies are stupid
We sat and complained
Dad is dumb, mum dumber

We read books in secret
Sexy ones; Madame X

"I swear..." we boys said
"Will be kind to my wife
No patriarch"

Both girls who had to abort
And the boys who faced hell
Agreed that:
"Sons, daughters, are equal"

Time past and we abode
Promises, were fulfilled
Unaware, dumb, stupid
Mum and dad, we're in hell

Sons say and, daughters repeat
"Mum and dad, are stupid"

For water we dug well
Unaware, we made hell

I miss you and am sure
Baby boomers less or more
Are riding in same boat...
