Loves Peril Poem by Sarah Mendly

Loves Peril

Rating: 5.0

The bitter sweet twists of misery at another days end
No life to live for, nothing left to defend
And as my hopes fly, storms brew from above
In with the hatred, gone is the love.

For it hurts deep down as the shadows appear
Nothing to live for, nothing to fear
And as my eyes beckon for anothers call
I feel as though I'm the only one who was ever to fall.

For my head is in the clouds, it's nothing like before
'Cause I feel my heart dancing as my feet pound the floor
And as he enters the room, I catch my breath as I choke
Likening it to death and then brutally awoke.

For my stomach flutters as my hands start to shake
And I pray that this is love, let it be no mistake
'Cause I've yearned for this feeling so many times before
Just to have loves immortality beckon at my door.

For I hang on to any a word that he might speak
Then my heart feels numb as my knees feel weak
And unto him I shall fall
For he is my bearing, he is my call
'Cause I lift with butterflies as my head feels light
And I am his damsel as he is my white knight.

For as my heart flutters with the mere mention of his name
I know to another, I shall never feel the same
And unto him I shall rise
Giving him love and butterflies.

Thinking of him, constantly drives my mind away
For by his side I wish to endeavor to stay
'Cause he walks me to a higher place
Where my heart shudders as my pulse begins to race.

And so this must be the calm before the storm
'Cause my head is hot whilst my heart feels torn
For I dropp from the sky, back down to the floor
And pick up my heart as I have done before.

For loves peril has opened up the gate
Along with destiny, in came fate
And long gone are the stories of my tales of woe
For here is my love, here is my Romeo.
