Love's Flame Poem by Cat Windham

Love's Flame

My love for you is like a flame
For it glows brightest 'round you
but my flame is in love of your wind
for you dont have flame for even your friend
my flame is in love with you as i said
but you blow hard against it my friend
when it retreated it came back twice as bright
but you blew twice as hard in the night
now you have help from a different wind,
call death's cold grip reaching for me, your friend
and when my flame for you is gone
death's grip shall come along
for death's grip shall be no more
when my flame for you has gone sore
