Love Rules Poem by dave lessard

Love Rules

Rating: 4.0

it was your eyes
that first attracted me
then your subtle smile
then your personality

We found we liked each other
soon love - was in the air
and we became an item
soon, you were always there

There was joy and there was laughter
we sought to know each other well
we grew in closeness then
our friends could always tell

On the courthouse square
on an pleasant April eve
you vowed to be my wife
as you held onto my sleeve

Now I now that love's forever
as I share that bond with you
you've made a new man of me
and made the dream come true
