Love On The Other Side Poem by Michelle Wooldridge

Love On The Other Side

A rush of flowing water
Flowing down the stream
Watching as the sun sets behind it
At that moment you start thinking of him
Thinking of how you know he is the one
The one you choose to be with
For eternity,
And that he should be there with you
But he can only be there in spirit
As for he past away a few days before
Tears start running down you face
You grab a bottle,
Pour the contents into your hand
You fill your mouth with them
And swallow them with the help of wine
Slowly you slip away
You go into the light
And you are greeted with your one and only love
