Love Never Lasts Poem by MADRE KAKAO

Love Never Lasts

Rating: 4.9

The gentleness of your voice
The warmth of your embrace
The comfort of your kisses
The peace exuding from your presence

Everything turned into a
mesmerizing mess

Passion's gone

It went on with the setting of the sun

What remained between us is simply an Ash...
of yesterday's Burning Love

We were burnt by the desire of our souls
We were drowned by the sweetness of our spirits
We were choked with the bluntness of our words
We were deafened by the silence of our thoughts

Our love tired our Hearts....
it poisoned our minds....
it betrayed us...
it kept us apart...

No more Joy...
Only Agony...
No more LOVE....
Only Hatred..

And the saddest part is no more 'US'
All in the past.

Only a memory of our vanished Love.

It started with a beautiful relationship and ended so sadly. Still, very beautifully done. A superb write. Thanks for sharing.

If love tired the heart, there is no more passion burning, no more fire, very sad lines but 5 Stars for this tragic poem.
