Love Is Lighter Than Hate Poem by Hebert Logerie

Love Is Lighter Than Hate

Ladies and gentlemen, love is lighter than hate
Dr. Martin Luther King had preached about the weight
Of hatred, the massive weight of hate that is astronomical
Hate is an unnecessary and unhealthy fat which is fatal
For the heart, the livers, the kidneys, the spleen and the soul
I know a former school principal who was so racist that her fat lard
Was unevenly distributed throughout her body. In the yard
From afar, she looked like a whale hanging out under the shade
Or an elephant standing on the summer sand, curious and unafraid
Of the sunrays. Love is universally known as being lighter than hate
I beg you to start melting the greasy livers that can kill and paralyze
Please get rid of the obnoxious odor of bigotry, nepotism and injustice
Seek the inner peace and the pride of standing for equality and justice.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Love flies and love gets victory over hate. Love is truly very magical and interesting. This poem is nicely shared.
