Love hurts
more than the blade's
sweet icy kiss
more than the blood flowing
leeching away your life
more than the crash of falling
all the way from cloud 9
love hurts
it hurts women
and unleashes a wildfire
it hurts men
and opens a black hole
it hurts children and creates a well a tears
love hurts
it cracks your heart
shatters it
grinds it
but also gives you hope
only to take it away
dragging you deeper into despair.
