Through Shattered Glass Poem by Bare Back Angel

Through Shattered Glass

Through shattered glass lays a heart torn to pieces by unforgiving, unforgotten, lovers. Soiled stained blackened and marred pierced through with cupids harsh arrow, dripping with bittersweet, poisonous, empty words
'I love you'
Words spoken over and over again making a new hole with each individual mask of a mouth. They're hollow empty, shells of feeling, without the true emotion. But still my heart leaps to hear YOU say them as if it would heal all previous wounds. You wont say them and the absence of your words is a poison worse than Cupid's. Its as if i know that YOUR voice saying them would fill them with meaning. Would make my shattered heart whole once more and better than ever. But that's what I've thought before and the truth is that a new voice just masks the pain of lover before you. That when you pull away like everyone else, it will leave a hole just the same. Another among the masses within my heart. Through shattered glass.
