Love And Pain Poem by Annie Copper

Love And Pain

The feelings from inside me, are so hard to explain,
The way I feel this love, the way I feel this pain.
Love like this is very rare, very few can claim to feel,
Love so pure and deep, love that is truly real.
With the honour of experiencing, a love that's this intense,
You also feel unruly pain, as a consequence.
When they say 'love is hard', they do not know the half,
Especially as lovers apart, across a space so vast.
But this pain is worth it, for the happiness I feel,
The tender touch, the warm embrace, the kiss upon the seal.
Each and every moment, spent within your arms,
Fills me up with light and love, within my heart it warms.
The feeling of your skin on mine, the beating of your heart,
The smell that makes me dizzy, from this I cannot be apart.
The second we're divided, a part of me is torn,
A gagged edge cuts in me, a deep and painful thorn.
The smile I see upon your face, your deep multicoloured eyes,
With arms reaching out towards me, the heat in me starts to rise.
Each curve upon your body, each firm unyielding part,
Every strand upon you, I love with all my heart.
I could just disappear with you, and cut the whole world out,
Just me and two boys, I'd be complete without a doubt.
You cannot see inside yourself, how beautiful you are,
Inside and out is perfect, you are a work of art.
I don't know how you cannot see, you are my shining star,
I'm utterly devoted, as I long for you from afar.
I want to lie with you forever, to feel your heart on mine,
Feel your breath upon my neck, feel our lives entwine.
When I think of losing you, I feel pain unbearable,
A life without my soul mate, would be intolerable.
There is no force as strong, no emotion, no bond of trust,
Life without you is just all wrong, you are my true love and my last.
I'll forever be your partner, to you my soul is bared,
There is nothing else in this world, to which this love can be compared.
