For the most part we go about our daily lives
We don't give things too much thought
As our days are listed one by one
For me it is peacefulness I've always sought.

As I check the TV each morning it seems
My happiness quickly will fade
War is going on now in this world
Red now is a typical shade.

Oh Lord, if you can hear the entire world
We cry out for mercy, it is in so many thoughts
Left with mostly the clothes on their backs
So much anger and hatred is wrought.

The innocent in this country are targeted
No reason at all for the cause
A madman has been turned on a country
Oh Lord, so many have been lost.

There isn't time to procrastinate, it is dire
Give leaders the necessary tools
Because our world is turned upside down
And encased by hatred and fools!
