Long Sleep Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Long Sleep

Rating: 5.0

Long sleep

Feel sad for elderly
-retired, in resting
-they sleep, possibly
-very long, as I did…

Tossed and rolled
-and dreamed…

Though many, they have been
-one was a nightmare, which
-could kill me then, and till
-it remains a part of memory…

I had some contracts
-for building and repairs
-employed two friends…

After done, accounts set
-intended to return…
-some points, like always.

But horror was at end…

Saw a too-small child
-tied with ropes, left alone
-in a kindergarten…

Then boys, girls, far older
-and they were all in chain…

(Such, have seen
In madhouse, prisons…)

I cut ropes and the chains
-was ready to fight, face
-whatever consequence…

On way out, at the door
-saw him come; the monkey
- (Iran's ex-president!)
-he, too, was torturer
