Loneliness In Darkness Poem by Ese Mamman

Loneliness In Darkness

If I had the sun, moon, and stars,
I would illuminate the darkest corners.
If I had a loud speaker,
I would give you a mic so your mutters
would become louder.

But I've always been in darkness,
now it feels no more like blindness.
I keep looking out the windows,
but all I see are shadows.

My mind is vibrating here in the dark,
wishing to be heard in the light.
My heart is quaking at the littlest spark,
hoping it will reverse the twilight.

I've always been lonely in the dark,
but I've created an aire of solitude.
Now I'm used to staying alone in the dark.
I do doubt I'll fit well in a multitude.
