Loneliness
There are people here.
I watch them all laugh and talk.
I raise the volume.
This poem could be about standing out in a crowd. Raising the volume could be doing something extraordinary to get you noticed. At the same time it's about being different and being different usually goes hand in hand with being isolated from society.
