Living With Pain Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Living With Pain

Pain real to feel eventually heals.
The appearance of it.
So too does a wound,
To fade away.
Barely noticing a scar.
Or a mark of a bruise.

And depending on the heart one has,
With a faith unshakable.
No one can break or take away.
Very few will be able to detect,
Someone quick to smile and laugh.
Can also be the one,
Not to take for granted.

Or believe them to be,
Without memories to remember.
Whenever they choose it wished,
To remind another...
Forgiveness to give it,
Is seldom left to stay forgotten.

Regardless who says,
To forgive is to forget.
Those who know,
Their pain had been intentionally inflicted.
Also know,
It is a bunch of B.S.
Living with pain to forget reality!
