Living Poem by Eli MorenoDrew

Living

I wanna live on a farm.
I wanna live in a house far away the town.
Where I can herd my sheep and love my wife.
Living my life as simple as my morning coffee.
I don’t want a dog,
But instead a friend covered in fur who walks on
four legs and never has a bad day.
Where we can finish our day at six
Topped with an evening show of sunset.
Then after our porch-viewed show,
We retire to sleep and slumber,
Waiting for the next day to arrive.
~~~
I wanna live in the city.
I wanna live in a condo in the middle of Downtown.
Where I can walk to my work and my favorite restaurant
Living my life as fast as my car.
I don’t want a cat,
But instead a roommate that doesn’t pay rent
and struts her way around as if she were the landlord.
Where I’d end my day at different times,
Taking my fiancé to the latest theater play.
Then after our balcony viewed show,
We retire to sleep and slumber,
Waiting for the next day to arrive.
