Little Blind Girl Poem by Natasha MaginleyFrancis

Little Blind Girl

When I met her for the first time
I was amazed at her presence
She was nothing I expected
Confidence just seemed to ooze from her

Amazing! I told myself privately
As she walked towards me
With what appeared to be a stare
Straight to my face

It was as though she was trying to see my soul
My soul!
But instead she showed me hers
What a pure and beautiful soul!

Her heart is sweet
And her spirit kind
As sweet as can be
As sweet as anyone can find

Then she spoke
And allowed me to enter her immaculate mind
She is quite intelligent
But never cocky

I wish there was a miracle for her to see
There is so much for her to see
But her life is not limited
Just like all of us the sky is her limit

She has the potential to reach the sky
And enjoy all that comes in it
So take all you can get my child
And don't you dare leave anything behind.
