Limerick: Deception

By showing this photo, I create
The illusion I've done something great.
Well, maybe tomorrow
Perhaps I can borrow
Something else to help prevaricate.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
My friend Hank and I were at the Utah Amateur Chess Tournament on Saturday,17 December and were waiting for the tournament to begin. The trophies for the tournament were just sitting there looking lonely, so I thought, why don't I just hold one for a few minutes to make it feel better?
