Each day he drank a bottle of rum whole
And in his liver was found a big hole
Sad, met with a sudden death
His doctor said in one breath
'There was no more blood in his alcohol'!
It so sad. Meeting with death is definite although sorrowful. Wonderful Limerick shared. Very much meaningful and thought provoking.

Black humour is a powerful way to deliver a message. Well done.
There is a strong message. Well penned and glad to see that you have addressed a social evil. Congrats..
Quite Humorous one. Such a wonderful person as per doctors report that he lived all the life with no blood. Fantastic write as usual from your pen. Loved it.
you've done it AGAIN, Valsa. beaten me to the punch, and i don't mean fruit punch. i wrote a limerick with these very same words just this morning. little did i know you had read my mind and submitted yours first! ! ! woe is me. but, SERIOUSLY, I was almost provoked to laughter by this, but i held back in respect for the deceased's relatives. even though hole' and whole sound TOO MUCH ALIKE to me, AND alcohol doesn't rhyme 'enough' for my taste (no pun intended; REALLY) , i STILL used the very same wording as you did. i really could not do better. AND the three words may not be my favorite audio-rhymes, but they are great visual-rhymes. SEE what i mean? ? the black humour (humor for my American colleagues) , as Stephen Katona points out is powerful. i'll cut back to a HALF a bottle of scotch per day. bri :)
Oh this is brilliant....Valsa......and very funny indeed.......I liked it very much......outstanding piece....10
