Like A Coin Poem by Savita Tyagi

Like A Coin

Rating: 5.0

Like a coin I roll down the path of mortal life.
Wrapped around me my eternity,
A silent Witness, enjoys the partnership.
In Its grace it lets me feel like
I am the one and only one enjoying the thrill.
Unaware of my head or tail
Ignorant of mysterious beginning
Final destination- a blind corner
Still I claim the path's ownership.

Your poem is as wise as the silent coin. Thsnks for writing with so much wisdom. It takes deep thought to see so much in something we take so lightly..

This poem, though short, is a bit deep for my mind. BUT after reading it a few times, it seems to be coming more into focus for my aging brain. i might even get it, or most of it i.e. understand it! i liked the reference to head and tail, especially after the comparison to a coin. it is nice that the speaker feels comfortable and secure in life and the journey to the 'next one'. IF that is the message. my favorite lines: Ignorant of mysterious beginning Final destination- a blinded corner Still I claim the path's ownership. bri :)
