We live lives in mountains
on seas of symphonies
trying to find rhythms
to take us
through the times of destiny

Mountains that have
become us
like giants of geometry
floating on the oceans
that time maybe won't heal

we break the tragedy
to enter another sorrow
and find that what we had
were the best
we could borrow

Borrow from the gods above
to live here
as we wished we could be

until we flicker into the feeble night
that is life's mystery
