Life's Meaning Poem by Gareth Simpson

Life's Meaning

Rating: 5.0

Things are not always as they seem
Some people live life in a dream
They're hurting bad from yesterday
And times that are so far away

They're fearful of what's yet to come
been so long since they had some sun
The birds' singing replaced by noise
inside you change to men from boys

Only you can do this yourself
I know bad thoughts have got some stealth
And like snowballs rolling down hill
They'll gather and gather, they will

Escape pain through revolution
It's the key to resolution
your heart's desire you can pursue
It is a journey through and through

To a ball and chain you're not bound
Listen to those whose meaning's found
Men and women who know the score
Will tell you of the open door

Cry for the happy things in life
Do not do for the pain and strife
Your true self you will uncover
Life's meaning, sister and brother
