Beauty On Trial Poem by Gareth Simpson

Beauty On Trial

Right, listern up or read between the lines
im an innocent man, im exonerated
For all my indesdcretions and crimes
yeah, listern up its not complicated
34 damm years i have waited
34 bleedng years

Get your pen and paper, take a note
Under line it if you must
I'm freed from blame whatever the masses vote
my pain, my demons, hell even my lust
34 lonley year's ive waited now it's win or bust
34 conflicted years

You can try and debate it, till our dying days
but the judges of time will make there ruling
A patient mans mind, tenfold it pays
Though the path becomes less gruelling
34 years the people we've been fooling
34 condeming years

You can't fool all of the people all of time
No you can't that much is just a fact
you can fool some and they will stand in line
They dont know what i lacked
34 stolen years ive tracked
34 robbed years

Well thats how i feel, the truth as i see
thats what is real so keep sharing your tea
your not wanted anymore im not affraid say
you can keep it on record and wherever you lay
I dont blame you for anything other than now
you couple of cowards think im milking the cow
get a grip and look at your own
your too scared to pick up the phone
well the demon child has his day in the courts
so keep your fingers crossed and happy thoughts
