Life And Love



Life and love to me
are always one and the same.
There is no difference that I see
and what have I to blame?

To breathe in life
and loveless be
is to be locked in chains
and never free.

For love is the elixer in my life.
It prolongs it indefinitely.
And when the elixer has become unsweetened,
then life means nothing to me.
