Life Poem by Suzanne LeslieBailey

Life

Rating: 5.0

Like the yellow-yolk sun that shines ever so brightly
Breaking the cold and dreary period of winter
Melting the white carpet of snow
Wrapping us snugly in its warmth
And signalling the break of day
Can also break a sweat upon our brow
And give a scorching stroke so deadly
That you will be no more

Like the rain that refreshes the parched earth
Helping the flowers and plants to grow
And leaving us singing and dancing amidst its crystal drops
Can in one torrential rush
Wipe out living things and make them no more

Like the wind whistling through the trees
Competing with the singing birds
It carries through the sky
And providing cool comfort on a hot day
Can in one strong gush
Wreak untold havoc with its toss and sway

That is LIFE
Like a two-faced lover
Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde
A glass half full of optimism
Or half empty of pessimism

How will you take life?

Great words Suzanne with an excellent last verse. And To live life the glass must always be half full.
