Lettuce Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Lettuce

Lettuce

Not liking medicine, nor doctors
-I consume fruits and vegetables
-lots of them…

To me, they are friends and leaders
-they are my prophets and saviours.

Together, in single, to me they
-are school, classes…

Not only tasty, cheap, if compared
-the money, time spent to have them
-that fruits are tasty, medicine is bitter.

What? Am I crazy?
-to hell with the latter!

To be wise, I avoid lot of the
-juices, herbs, vitamins in bottles.

What are they except my favourites
-being cut, added to, processed
-with their costs doubled and tripled?

Had Lettuce with bread, feta cheese
- (whole-wheat-bread, my sandwich)
-tastes great; with cup of coffee; tea.

Lettuce was company with its leaves
-telling me how great nature is.

Lettuce is one mentor
-each of them is teacher
-I attend classes for lessons
-with kids of Mom, Nature.

Love Nature as I do
-each of her children…
-air, water and ground…
-lifeless and breathers...

Thanks a lot...I try to take whatever comes and as natural as possible...nature is my mother and I like my mother's milk.
