Let's Play Pretend Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Let's Play Pretend

Your Terrificness?

"Yes.
I approve of your clarity.
And 20/20 vision.
What is it? "

Let's play...
Pretend.

"I love it already.
Should I close my eyes? "

Nooo. Not really.
Your imagination,
Is as bewildering left as is.
Smoldering.
Blistering.
To leave incredible belief.

"Will you stop with that.
Okay.
I'll close my eyes.
What am I pretending?
I mean...
What are 'we' pretending? "

Suppose the people,
Reject your policies.
And insist,
You be removed from the throne.

"Which one?
That was a joke.
Okay.
I'm going deeper into the Universe.
Hmmm...
Suppose the people.
The ones who love me with utmost loyalty.
Reject MY policies.
And insist,
I'd be removed from the throne."
And...
This,
We are pretending?
Right? "

Yes. YOUR MOST SIGNIFICANCE.

"LOLOLOLOLOLOL.
YOU ARE TOO FUNNY.
LOLOLOLOLOLOL.
STOP. STOP!
ABOUT TO PEE.
LOLOLOLOLOLOL..."
