So many times I try to tell you
Just how much I love you babe
And I keep wondering why the hell you
Don't believe a word I say

I want so much to show you
The love I feel inside
But when I try to let you know you
Choose to run, you choose to hide

I know you're cold I know you're lonely
I know that you've been torn apart
But I believe if you would only
Take down the chains around your heart

You might find my love will free
Those trapped emotions cold as stone
And bury deep the memories
Of long hard roads you walked alone
