Lesson Poem by Hafiz Firuz

Lesson

I lock you in a cage,
With monsters as humans,
tell me how can I not be afraid.
I told you to stay hidden, well,
so you won't get the chance to say, 'I fell'.
I made you wait, wait and wait,
hoping that you'll find love for me out of your hates.
I held you up and crashed you down,
so that you'll crave for that feeling,
and go out of your bounds.
I held you hand, and I let go,
to teach you how to live, and how to survive,
there's more than breathing to this life.
A lesson today, is a relief tomorrow,
trust me my dear, you will know.
