Forbidden Love Poem by Hafiz Firuz

Forbidden Love

Rating: 4.5

Dangerous, razor like thoughts,
Had me at breaking point, once again,

We speak with silence,
Words were just simple connections,

Neither of us spoke the truth,
cause' we couldn't stay true,
I was hers  and she was his,
Too scared to pursuit happiness,

We tried to let each other know,
With invisible, subtle notes,

But neither would take a step,
into the dangerous, forbidden land,

As the bond became more irresistible,
The guilt started to prove uncontrollable,

Beautiful moments made in months,
are now just beautiful memories hard to confront,

As she took a disguised step forward,
I pulled away like a coward,

Oh forbidden love,
will you ever know your worth?

Sincerely speaking, I believe that the pain of forbidden love over rules it's bliss. It's a well articulated poem insightfully penned with conviction. A lovely piece indeed. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
