Leave You Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Leave You

I'm leaving you,
It'll leave you blue
and a broken heart
will be felt tonight
Hey listen, baby,
Yeah, you're a goner
Hey listen, baby,
yeah, I no longer wanna
be the one who says I'm yours
End of a chapter closed the doors
It's how you would do me,
Can't allow it to be
If I were your world,
I'd be treated better
And I'm so glad that I see
You for what you are
I meant nothing to you
what you now mean to me
and what better than
to do what's best to do?
Cause you don't got me,
You don't need me, I don't need
the type of love you offer
No, Not into you
and you know, what I couldn't do
cause every time you were away
the rules of love hadn't been obeyed
and you should know,
when I say, 'we're done'
I bet your hearts broken
with the blues tonight
cause i'm leaving you
Oh babe, If you want somebody
with you,
Look to where you think
the grass is greener
but that's a garden
that's never cleaner
If you got to have that,
I won't wait around
hey, Listen baby,
You don't care
And I would love you
but that's no longer true
And you would lie,
You didn't commit or try
to be my everything, no.
All I ever wanted was you,
I needed or wanted for nothing
Cause If I had that
then life would be set
Now to look at your face
the day we met I regret
served with the papers
sign where it say signature
now you can get the walking
I don't care where you go
just get the hell out my life
