Leave Us Alone, Let Us Live Poem by Hebert Logerie

Leave Us Alone, Let Us Live

Rating: 5.0

Let us live, let us live
We're not ready to leave
We don't want to leave
Let us live, let us live.

We don't want to die
Oh! Lord, we want to live
Right now, we're not ready to leave
That's the truth. That's no lie.

Leave us alone, let us live
Black lives matter
Minority lives matter
We don't want to leave.

We have the rights to live free
Free of harassment and brutality
It is too soon to die, O Lord
Let this not be our last word.

Leave us alone, let us live
We have the blood of Adam and Eve
Leave us alone, let us live
This ain't our time to leave.

P.S. I would love Alicia Keys to add music to these words,
Thank you.

Touching protest against racial discrimination and connected atrocities and assertion of black minorities right to free and comfortable life. A great poem. Thanks for sharing.10++ points.
